An excellent opportunity to showcase the AI4HOPE project.
EAPC World Congress 2026
AI4HOPE was delighted to participate in the 20th European Association for Palliative Care (EAPC) World Congress in Prague May 14-16, which brought together nearly 2000 participants from 87 countries. The event welcomed a diverse multidisciplinary community, including physicians, nurses, researchers, psychologists, social workers, ethicists, and other palliative care professionals, creating a unique platform for knowledge exchange, collaboration, and innovation.
The EAPC congress provided an excellent opportunity to showcase the AI4HOPE project, which is harnessing digital health interventions to improve the quality of life of dementia patients and their caregivers. Its sister project, In-Touch, was also featured, highlighting innovative approaches to enhancing communication, connection, and person-centred dementia care. Through presentations, panel discussions, and networking, the projects generated valuable discussions with colleagues from across Europe and beyond about the projects and the future of dementia and palliative care research.
Events such as the EAPC Congress highlight the value of international collaboration in addressing the complex challenges faced by people affected by dementia and other serious illnesses. Thank you to everyone who connected with us, shared ideas, and contributed to inspiring conversations!
